That’s why sometimes however hard we try, we cannot understand each other, straight, straight, straight to deepest part of your heart. For the the same word/scene, our hearts generate different metaphors. When we say: you understand me. Actually it means: you see my metaphor.
We relay on communication to describe the picture in our view. However, more words generates more metaphor. Also, we wear a subjective sun shade in front of our eyes (see, THIS IS metaphor, does it mean the same in our heart?). Therefore, communication always run into dead end, even blow up at the end.
The generation of metaphors depends on your childhood, your experience of your life, and where you live, what you see. Sometimes I am afraid, if I live like this, a foreigner detached from her own culture, one day, nobody will have a metaphor dictionary as mine.
